North Africa Company announced the continuation of advanced exploration and prospecting operations for gold and other minerals in the “Zeidoun” mountain area (Block DF73), located between the cities of Quseir and Marsa Alam in the Red Sea Mountains of the Eastern Desert, during August 2026.
The company aims to achieve a significant commercial gold discovery in the area, thereby enhancing Egypt’s position on the regional and international mining map. This initiative is being undertaken in strategic partnership with the Canadian company New Kingdom and the British company SRK, under the leadership of Dr. Haytham El-Abbady, Managing Director and Board Member of North Africa Mining Company.
Dr. El-Abbady emphasized that the preparatory operations and geological studies are being conducted according to the highest international standards in collaboration with international partners. He noted that the Zeidoun mountain area possesses promising potential that opens new horizons for mining investment in Egypt in the coming period.
